No, he will not be naming the baby

Bryan and I have settled on a first name for our little one–Kathryn.  But we’re still working on the middle name.  Yesterday, Bryan playfully decided to ask Jonathan what we should name our baby.  Jonathan’s first answer was something like Kathryn Colissewar (he likes making up weird, never to be repeated, names).  His second (and the one he really liked)–Kathryn Garbage.  I don’t think so.

  1. That’s really funny :) You guys are really on the ball. I think we’ll end up naming this one at the hospital like we did Sophie.

    When are you due again?

  2. I’m technically due October 5th–so we’re expecting her sometime between mid-September and mid-October. :)

  3. Jonathan is so funny :) It is amazing what kids come up with. My brother wanted to name my sister Freaky-Potty. Don’t know where that came from.

  4. Kathryn’s a nice name. I spent my teens trying to rename myself Kathryn. We also have friends who just (on the 12th) had a baby girl they named Kathryn Hope. Are there any family names that go well with Kathryn?

  5. Yes–Elizabeth. But that one’s taken. :) We have two or three ideas that we like, though–we’ll just see which one ends up feeling right. :)

  6. Oh my, that’s hilarous. Good thing it’s not the kids who have the last word. There would be some pretty sad names out there. I absolutely love your due date(my birthday, he he). I was actually born on a Sunday during General Conf. Oct 5th just happens to be General Conf. Sunday this year. I wonder what the chances are???Still it sounds cool though! I’d have to get a picture with your sweet little Kathryn.

  7. Wow. I didn’t even put that together. That would be really funny! And yet, I think I hope she doesn’t come that Saturday or Sunday now. :) Listening to Conference is hard enough with two little ones, let alone dealing with labor, too. :)

  8. I agree that Kathryn Elizabeth sounds good. (That’s why I named one of my childhood dolls that!)
