Budding photographers

Much to my chagrin, Jonathan and Emma have developed a love for our camera.  If I leave it within reach at all, they will find it and use it.  Sometimes I catch them in the process, and sometimes I don’t realize it until I next go to use the camera and find new pictures on it.  But you know what?  They’re actually getting pretty good.  That’s not to say they don’t have their flops – there are plenty of up-close fingers and other odd pictures – but there are also some really good ones.  Here’s a sampling of some of those better ones.

Emma's sippy - apparently very important

OK - it is *possible* I took this one, but the two surrounding it were definitely taken by Emma (featuring portions of Jonathan's shirt) and were within a minute, so it's possible it was Jonathan and she were taking turns...

This was definitely by Jonathan

I cringe to imagine what she would have been standing on...

Now how on earth did she get such a great smile? I think they pose better for each other than for me. :) And yes, this was definitely by Emma.

Here's the proof of the authorship of the picture of Jonathan - this was taken within the minute. :)

May 27th – a little from both children

Enjoying the texture of the wood, I guess. :)

May 31st – unknown photographer

Unknown because I can’t remember which one took my picture – but I do know it was one of the children!

Kathryn's toy - there were a couple of pictures of the toy. This was the last one, and the most centered.

Kathryn's cheerios. It's interesting to look at the pictures and see what they chose to focus on.

Kitchen magnets. I'm starting to think this may have been Emma.

June 2nd – probably Emma

This picture seemed to appear out of nowhere. I have no memory of it, though it looks like a subject I'd like to have pictured. Bryan didn't take it, and Annie has her own camera so it wasn't her. That leaves Emma. Or me losing my mind. But I think it was Emma. :)

Guess what we’re getting them for their birthdays?  :)
